OMMA and OGF

I am a new member of the Oregon Medical Marajuana program. It's amazing how many people think it's nothing more than a get out of jail free card. but I think the detractors would take a different stand if they saw the people who came to the first meeting of Oregon Green Free(OGF)west metro chapter. Like me the, majority of people were patients. Canes and wheelchairs were to be seen. These weren't the burnt out tie-dyed hippys that people paint a picture of.Indeed, it looked more like a town hall meeting.

But here is the trippy part. They had a raffle for a door prize and I WON!!! The prize(above)is uber cool!

I see a good thing here. Lets just hope Bush doesn't fuck it up. $130-150 dollars a half oz. (street price) is killing me.

2:41 am

The house is quiet. Blissfully quiet. Therese lays gently snoring. Shhhh, Our secret.

You see, I have my sister and her "Ol man" Dave over each w/e and I love em to death but between them and the constant flow of folks around us I cherish these too few minutes of solitude more than you know. Thanks to the 18' tall barrier they erected I barely notice the freeway less than 80' from our apartment now.

Unwrapping the one thing that almost comes close to sinful pleasure I am ovecome by the floral bouquet of so many perfumes I am amazed man can create the smell I inhale. Surely Acid Cigars will be my undoing heheh!!! This is the Earthiness. A 4.5 buck stick of forgetfulness for me. for the flavors transportme to anther place. Oh truly The Gods are kind to me this w/e!!!! 1 Henry Weinhard NW Trail left. the perfect compliment!

You know, THIS is all I ask for in life. To be able to afford a modestly priced cigar and a med shelf beer.

But then I hear NO in the back of my mind. No time to lose!

And that confuses me because I don't know what the urgancy is related to or what teh goal is.

"But now is not the time."

WTF!!? what the hell does that mean? Time for what? Why do these kind of things flash through my mind ALL the time!? Even in my slightly buzzed ok, really buzzed state these questions still echo in the recesses. If I'm drinking to stop them? It ain't working. People ask why I'm up at this hour. Because of an unanswered question. A question that has no answer. One that hasn't come to fruition yet. I am viligent in "a quest for something that han't been thought of yet" is the answer I hear.

Oh well since you put it THAT way!! The zen of it doesn't escape me and yet still it would be grand to know the WHY of it much less the WHAT!?

Heh! Welcome to the fucked up recesses of my mind.

But then as I relight the peppery floral punch of the cigar I am reminded that it was I that ultimately made the choice to walk this Path to its conclusion no matter what it is and I smile and thank my Gods that despite my confusion, at least I don't walk around in a fog any more. At least I know there IS a question to be answered now. Perhaps not BY me. We shall see.

Peace

Where is the line?

people who know me know I'm just left of Nadar in most things as far civil liberties. That goes goes for freedom of speech. But where do we draw the line??? Today on the news they played the cell phone call of a kid(?)trapped and drowning in a sinking car.

I sat numb. Jesus Fucking Christ people, is this how low we've dropped the bar?
Have we become so accustomed and callous to death and accepting of anything fed us that we can accept that? Last night I saw the chilling image of dead child on CSI as they melodramatically pieced together yet another convoluted story with an array of equipment usually reserved for alien autopsies.

And the part that made me want to HURL!? the kid was COLLATERAL DAMAGE!!! Not a real part of the plot. "Ooops mom and dad got shot and we can't have loose ends in the story!! fuck it, she drowns!!"

Wow looking at the above I guess you can see what happened as I just have. Hit with the 1-2 punch there in less than 24 hrs. Which makes this even more urgent. If this outrages you, if you are sick of seeing death and/or children portrayed like this write the networks like I am about to do. It's the only way we can stop it.

For those of you thinking "Get real,It's just a fucking show/it's not real yada yada !!"

I telling you "You just don't fucking get it."

Peace

The TRUTH!

From http://thinkprogress.org/2005/12/10/casualty-cover-up/

Pentagon Covering Up Tens of Thousands of U.S. Casualties In Official Reports
Seven Members of Congress issued a letter this week charging that the Pentagon is systematically “under-reporting casualties in Iraq by only reporting non-fatal casualties incurred in combat.” They asked for a full accounting of the accurate numbers.

Their letter cited a CBS News report:

The Pentagon declined to be interviewed, instead sending a letter that contained information not included in published casualty reports. “More than 15,000 troops with so-called ‘non-battle’ injuries and diseases have been evacuated from Iraq,” wrote the Department of Defense. John Pike, Director of GlobalSecurity.org told 60 Minutes in that segment that this uncounted casualty figure “would have to be somewhere in the ballpark of over 20, maybe 30,000.”

But that CBS report came in November 2004. Today, more than a year later, those numbers have risen significantly. This morning, Salon.com published details of an October ‘05 Veterans Affairs report showing that 119,247 off-duty Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are receiving health care from the V.A.

[T]he statistics seem to show that a lot of those health problems are war-related. For example, nearly 37,000 have mental disorders, including nearly 16,000 who have been diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder. Over 46,000 veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan receiving benefits from the V.A. have musculoskeletal problems. These are all veterans who within the last four years were considered by the military to be mentally and physically fit enough to fight.

These men and women have suffered injuries that will impact them for the rest of their lives. The Bush calculation: better to have higher Iraq approval numbers than recognize their sacrifices.

Goodnight Irene

So I sit here thinking "What use is me posting any more? Scattered to the four winds is everyone I know and no longer is there camraderie. The people I belived in most have turned away so whats the use?"

And the answer I get is "There is none."

Diana I could sure use you now my love. But not even you are returning my queries.

Fuck it. Fuck it all I give up. The internet holds no interest to me anymore other than a massive mailbox. So this may be the last I post here, or anywhere. There will be more than one person glad to see that I'm sure.

So if you see this, Good luck in your life people. It was fun...right up until the ax fell and everything I was standing for was jerked out from underneath me. You don't have to read that far back to see where.

So my advise? Stay the hell out of religion if you value your...self.
